Colour Inspiration: Copper and Teal

Copper and teal go so beautifully together. They are a very warm combination and make for the perfect cluster of hues for wedding days in the autumn and winter time. Copper has been a popular interior trend for some time now so there are lots of décor pieces perfect for wedding tables and centrepieces, and, with the natural autumn shades and the lift the teal brings, it really does create a gorgeous wedding palette.

Teal bridesmaid dresses make for the perfect start to your wedding colour palette. The block colour effect that bridesmaid dresses give off set your colours in motion. Add to the mix a bouquet combination of autumn leaves and soft orange blooms and you automatically have your colour inspiration.

Use selected homewares such as candle sticks and tea light holders in various copper shades to adorn your reception tables. Go bold and opt for teal table cloths instead of the traditional white and offset these off with copper place mats and place settings. The copper almost looks like the flames from an open fire in a forest.

Get creative and buy your own copper paint or glitter to create your own centrepieces from jam jars and vases. Small touches like these really pull your whole wedding look together. You can even create a real art deco feel simply by adding some small touches to a traditional white tied cake; think glitter ribbon and faux flowers.
