In Loving Memory

Weddings are a time for family and loved ones. They are a time to reflect on the past and the couple’s time together and to look ahead. Most couples have people that they wished could have been at their wedding and would like to honour them in some way. There are so many beautiful ways to do this and they’ll no doubt be one of the highlights of your day.

Family Tree

Creating a family tree to display at your wedding is a lovely way of showing your guests yours and your fiancés grandparents – or great grandparents, even – whilst also displaying photos of your parents as well as you as a couple. If possible, try collating wedding photographs of your family, which you might be able to go back countless generations with, to display in the family tree. How lovely for you guests to look back at these photos of past and present loved ones.

Wedding Seat

For those who would like to show specific love to a specific person, there are some lovely ideas around ‘saving a seat’ for that person at your wedding. Create a sign, maybe add some flowers and something that you remember them by and place them in the front row. This is a lovely idea for those who would rather ‘do’ something than ‘say’ something about a loved one on their big day.

Hidden Love

It is very easy to include a little note to these loved ones in your wedding attire. For grooms, why not have a message sewn into the back of your tie, so throughout the day it will be with you? For brides, use your bouquet as a base for your hidden love. You can include mini photo frames tied around the stems of your flowers, or wear a locket on show or hidden with your wedding dress.
